Google Hangout: How To Make A Successful Content Plan
One of the most exciting new activities I engaged in this year was working with the team to deliver our first BuzzMyVideos creators Google Hangout for 2014. We have creators from all over the globe who speak a range of different languages in a myriad of different time zones, so we knew we had to deliver something special to get them engaged. We settled on the topic of “How To Make a Successful Content Plan” to give us a platform to talk about the different content types that work on YouTube as well as highlight effective content formats and scheduling hints and tips.
At the end of May we delivered two (English and Italian) Hangouts exclusive to our BuzzMyVideos creator. Both delivered over an hour of insight, answered creator questions live via comments and delivered a 47 page instructional Content Plan presentation in English, Italian, Turkish and Russian to our creators. Since the Hangout videos went live the views on both have doubled, meaning that creators are returning to re-watch them and others who couldn’t participate in the Hangout have caught up with the videos afterwards. I’m so excited by the response that I’m already planning the next one. Luckily we’ve got plenty of inspiration thanks to the feedback from our creators about what we can improve on and what topics they’d like us to cover in the future.
